We invite you to join us for breakfast on 23rd November at 9am to meet with investors, researchers, policy-makers and entrepreneurs to discuss how we can work together towards solutions.
The mental health crisis in the UK is reaching a breaking point. In the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic, global prevalence of anxiety and depression increased by 25% (WHO). In the UK, 1 in 4 adults experience a mental health problem each year (NHS England), and perhaps most shocking, 7% of children attempt suicide by the age of 17 (British Journal of Psychiatry).
Public awareness is growing, with calls on the government and healthcare systems to step up services and support. At the Conduit Connect, we have supported several innovative start-ups creating products and services to improve mental healthcare pathways and patient outcomes. However, partnerships amongst the public, private, and charitable sector are crucial to achieve real change and avoid fragmented solutions, exclusion, and data silos.
Expert speakers include:
Aahuti Rai, Digital and Mental Health Care investor, mentor and advisor. Partner, Four Points Consulting, Conduit EIS Impact Fund Advisory Board member, Strategic Advisor, Quiddity Health and Health Mentor, EIT Health
Arden Tomison, Founder and CEO, Thalamos. Thalamos’ software joins up fragmented stakeholders to streamline the admission, treatment and discharge care pathways for acute mental healthcare patients
Lea Milligan, CEO, MQ Mental Health. MQ funds research that leads to better support and faster diagnosis for anyone affected by mental illness
